John & Carol's place was perfect, very clean. They left us a bottle of wine, beers, waters & fruit, nice surprise. Great location near to restaurants & bars with music & neat little shops. Their rental is in a quiet neighborhood. John was great host sharing with us where to go in the evening for great local music & food. We didn't realize that Austin is the Live Music Capital, but after visiting we totally agree. Next time we go we're planning to stay at John & Carol's for a month. We highly recommend.

"A Place to Stay" is a perfect location for anyone interested in exploring "SoCo" or "South 1st" areas in Austin. We had a 10 minute walk to South Congress and the house is on South 1st. Also, the house is beyond cute and clean, with so many extras (Snacks, drinks and a great roof for evening star-gazing/chit-chat)

John and Carol's place exceeded ALL expectations. I don't know where to begin.... We were two couples in the house; excellent layout, super clean, brand new everything, decor on point, everything you need in the kitchen, CLEAN bathrooms with dual shower heads were superior. This place is geared toward outdoor living with table and chairs on the patio and rooftop, perfect for coffee and cocktails. Walking distance to great food, and popular S. Congress attractions. Super easy checkin via code on the doorlock. Tasty welcome surprises of Dos Equis beer, wine, bottled water, and fresh fruit in the fridge! John went above and beyond when my car battery gave up the ghost. When the jump start failed volunteered his tools and car, with NO hesitation, for a trip to Autozone. John saved what could have been a disappointing Sunday into no problem at all. Highly recommend, and would rebook John and Carols place in a second.

Couldn't have asked for a better stay during out trip to Austin. John and Carol were very communicative and check-in and out were as easy as could be. The property itself is very cozy with lots of greenery and all the amenities one would need. Location was perfect as you were close enough to get to downtown without having to be in the middle of it. Highly recommend to stay here if you want to have an authentic experience with proximity to many great eateries and shops within 10mn walking distance.
